Stay a while to share my thoughts on writing and life.

September 2009

Summer is nearly over. Frankly, it’s a relief. With all the free time, wonderful weather and things to do outdoors, I haven’t managed to get much writing done.

But September is here, quivering on that invisible line between summer and autumn; the days are getting shorter and the nights colder. It is time to get some warm clothes out and curl up on the sofa with a good book on those increasingly chilly evenings. What a delight.

On the writing and publishing front, the good news this month comes from the Geneva Writers Group and the biennial anthology Offshoots – writing from Geneva. There are many wonderful pieces in Offshoots 10, both prose and poetry, and even I managed to squeeze a short story in there. The launch and readings will take place at Payot bookshop in Geneva (5, Rue Chantepoulet) on Thursday, October 1at 18:00. All are cordially invited.

This month, the WRS radio reviews include Lush Life by Richard Price, Red Dust, Red Sky by Paul S. Sunga and My Name is Daphne Fairfox by Arthur smith. Write on! Daniela
