Writing Across Time and Place:”As writers, we are often told to ‘write what we know’. However, many of us enjoy researching and writing about past events, real or imagined. Historical fiction is a very successful genre, and there are many mainstream novels that use historical events as their backdrop. Writing across time and place opens our writing to many new possibilities and enriches our lives through learning and research of past events.
AFTERWARDS, we’ll open the floor for attendees to share up to seven minutes of work. This can be novels, screenplays, scripts, shorts, works in progress or poetry/verse, for example. Please come with your video on, at least at the beginning so everyone can see your beautiful self. (If this is an issue, please talk to the host when you arrive.)
